The following discussion takes up this issue with regard to contemporary psychological theories on intelligence and affects the potential implications for education. The following section examines the metaphor of the teacher plant, which is not uncommon among the cultures that have traditionally practiced the use of entheogenic plants. After that, I use Howard Gardner's theory of multiple intelligences (1983) as a theoretical framework to explain the cognitive implications of entheogenic use.
